UBCM is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Executive Coordinator to join our team.

The Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for you to bring your expertise, skills and enthusiasm to the position of Executive Coordinator, Association Services. This Victoria-based position is located in Local Government House, a LEED Gold building.
UBCM was established in 1905 to provide a common voice for BC local governments. UBCM’s vision is to effectively represent and serve all local governments in BC by being the recognized advocate for their common interests and by meeting the common needs of our membership. UBCM achieves this through policy work, program management and member services.
Reporting to the General Manager, Victoria Operations, the position provides administrative services to support the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities (AVICC) including: convention planning; accounting and financial management; record keeping and executive board and meeting support. In addition, the position provides administrative support to UBCM, Victoria Operations.
The successful candidate is a highly organized professional with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Experience in planning and managing large events and providing administrative support to a Board is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, basic bookkeeping/accounts receivable and database experience is essential. Knowledge using FileMaker Pro and experience working in a Macintosh environment would be a definite asset.
Qualified candidates will have successfully completed a program in office or business administration plus considerable related experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
