We are seeking an individual to fill the position of Director of Operations at our office in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This management level position will be responsible for developing new partnerships, strengthening existing partnerships, overseeing programs, engaging the scientific community, and facilitating the development of new projects.

The successful candidate will have:

Local knowledge of the scope of genomics research programs and opportunities for national and international leverage.
Experience in developing, fostering and maintaining partnerships amongst a diverse group of stakeholders, including academia, federal and provincial governments and industry.
Experience in research and development and an understanding of genomics and bioinformatics.
Proven abilities in grant writing and reviewing.
Exemplary leadership qualities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Networking and government relations experience.

Candidates with experience in providing leadership for research programs with industrial partners are encouraged to apply.

The preferred candidate will have an advanced degree (PhD, or MSc with MBA) with a focus in the health sector. This position will report directly to the President and CEO and will work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer and Director of Business Development located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
