If you are a Chief Financial Officer or Senior Finance Officer with several years of financial experience in local government, we want to talk to you. You will be reporting to the Chief Administration Officer and working with an experienced management team and dedicated staff.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated financial planning, leadership and supervisory experience and must have a professional accounting designation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and direction on financial matters to Council and other senior staff. The incumbent will also be accountable for implementing and administering budgetary and expenditure and revenue control programs to ensure the Village achieves its financial objectives.
We are seeking a self-motivated multi-tasker who has demonstrated an ability to communicate and deal effectively with the public. Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook are very important and experience with municipal accounting software such as Vadim or MAIS is a definite asset.
