We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our Finance & Administration department. The Director of Finance & Administration will provide support and direction to department staff and engage and assist others to accomplish organizational goals and strategies. This individual will exhibit a high level of public relations and internal/external customer service and have proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Leading the Finance team, you will provide effective supervision of staff by setting appropriate standards, motivating and mentoring staff while promoting a healthy, safe and customer focused work environment. You possess demonstrated competency in municipal accounting, budget development and financial planning. You have in depth knowledge of public sector accounting practices and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to relate positively with staff, Mayor and Council.

As part of the senior management team you will support and assist other department managers in financial planning and financial decisions related to the organization as a whole. You will lead the budget process, compile annual operating and capital departmental budgets and prepare and present regular financial reports to Council. The Municipality of Jasper is looking for an individual with a CGA, CMA or CA designation, financial leadership experience in municipal accounting and finance proficiency in Great Plains/Dynamics software.
