The Town of Redcliff is a diverse community of over 5,500 citizens, including families, young professionals, entrepreneurs and retirees.  The community offers excellent schools, an abundance of community activities, a beautiful trail system and well maintained recreation facilities, located on the South Saskatchewan River just minutes from Medicine Hat.  Our busy Town is currently seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Finance & Administration to help the community to continue with its growth in a fiscally responsible and sustainable manner.

While reporting to the Municipal Manager, as the Director of Finance & Administration, you will be the leader of the Town’s Finance & Administration Team.  In this role, you will be accountable for financial management, including financial planning and budgeting, reporting, purchasing, financial policies and procedures, taxation, utility billing and collection, general accounts receivable, the information technology network, communications, social media and cashier service.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Management or Public Administration as well as an Accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA).  A minimum of 3 – 5 years related financial management experience, preferably in a municipal government setting. Experience with strategic and business planning processes, budget process and financial reporting and forecasting is required. Proven leadership, supervisory and team building skills are required along with superior analytical, interpersonal, public relations and verbal/written communication skills.
