The District of Mackenzie is seeking to fill the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer. The Deputy Chief Financial Officer assists the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring the Finance Department meets its financial objectives, statutory requirements and financial reporting requirements. The Deputy Chief Financial Officer is a leader of the financial services team who ensures the efficient operation of all resource aspects: receivables, accounts payable, payroll and benefits, property tax and treasury functions.
Located in the scenic Northern Rocky Mountain Trench 185 km north of Prince George, Mackenzie offers superb four season outdoor recreation opportunities and an exceptional quality of life. In order to qualify for this position you will have a minimum of five years related experience, including two years in a management supervisory role and possess a sound knowledge of Public Sector Accounting principles and procedures. A working knowledge of MAIS software applications will be an asset.
