The Village of Lytton is located at the confluence of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers, approximately three hours northeast of Vancouver through the beautiful Fraser Canyon or two hours west of Kamloops. If you are a Chief Financial Officer or Senior Finance Officer with several years of financial experience preferably in local government, we want to talk to you. You will be responsible to the Chief Administration Officer and accountable for the direction and control of the Finance Department including accounting, purchasing, financial planning, payroll, utilities, property taxes and revenue services. Training and experience using Muni-ware accounting package would be an asset.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and direction on financial matters to Council and other senior staff, as well as acting as a Village Financial Signing Officer. The incumbent is also accountable for implementing and administering budgetary and expenditure and revenue control programs to ensure the Village achieves its financial objectives.

Applicants should have certification in a recognized professional accounting designation such as CA, CGA, CMA, or CPA and 4 years progressively responsible related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
