The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the District’s Senior Management Team responsible for all of the functions of the Finance Department. The incumbent will demonstrate strong communication and management skills, knowledge and experience with fund accounting principles, familiarization with computer financial programs (MAIS), and knowledge of municipal legislation and government practices and procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating, directing and monitoring activities and resources including financial management of the District’s operations, budgeting, taxation and financial statements. The position is also responsible for overseeing the IT systems including but not limited to networks and servers, personal computers, wireless communication devices, telecommunications systems, other peripheral devices.

The successful candidate will have accreditation in or be working toward, a professional accounting discipline such as C.A., C.G.A., or C.M.A. along with proven experience in local government related services.
