We are currently seeking a high caliber Business Manager – Finance to work long term contract basis; based in Edmonton, AB.
You will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.
You will have complete understanding and hands-on experience with full cycle accounting, managing and guiding.
Work Release Authorization Control to include:
Receipt as well as ensure proper signatures & processes followed
Tracking costs and resource expenditures
Flagging 80% completion in anticipation of any overruns
Close Out to include reconciliation with time sheets
Create change orders and track changes & impact to forecast
Performance Reporting to include:
PRT Data Collection and Summaries
KPI Matrix Data Collection and Measurement
Generate Monthly PSR & Client Reporting summaries
Finance to include:
Internal – Forecasting Monthly Costs\Revenues\
Invoice Management
Time Ticket Management
Expense Report Management
Review Non-Billable project charges on weekly basis\create reports for management
Update and track changes to Site Procedure Manual in regards to Project Controls & Finance with client requirements
Work with the Client to modify client reports based on their requirements\Assist in setup of Controline if needed
Provide accruals information to finance for Monthly Cost reporting
Participate in Client review meetings for Financial Reporting responsibilities
Material Management to include:
Material Requisitions created, tracked, etc to procurement group for SMTC\Vehicles\PPE\etc
Create Tracking report of all assets (when purchased, location, who assigned, etc)
Facilitate site on-boarding of employees as ramp up begins until Area Coordinator – Human Resources is staffed
Arrange Travel reservations to site for new employees (flight reservations, camp accommodations, etc) until Area Coordinator – Human Resources is staffed
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Proven leadership skills
Interface with all levels of levels of staff and clients
Problem solver
Proficient in use of computer software deemed necessary to perform the job (Role entails 3 systems)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Minimum 8 years experience with knowledge in project controls, finance, and contractor management and procurement systems.
Team Player
Must have experience in supervising payroll/client billing/accounting and financial reporting staff.
