The Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) requires an experienced Bookkeeper. This position is an integral part of the PMFRC in providing standardized, consistent accounting services to all levels of the agency.
Reporting to the Business Manager, Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre; the Bookkeeper is responsible to provide day to day bookkeeping services (inclusive of Payables, Receivables, Payroll, Reconciliations, Remittances and Deposits), reception services and general administrative tasks.
Essential Qualifications
University or College certification in Accounting;
2-3 years’ experience working in bookkeeping/accounting field;
Experience with accounting packages, Microsoft Dynamics (GP) preferred;
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs and web-based applications;
All relevant accounting entries, inclusive of payables, receivables, payroll, remittances and reconciliations;
Reception and general administrative duties;
Knowledge of GAAP.

Must have strong ability to prioritize workload;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within both an inter-disciplinary team and in a self-directed environment;
Strong oral and written communication skills in English; French an asset;
Ability to prepare written reports, correspondence and maintain accurate records;
Willingness to work flexible hours (when required);
Ability to ensure effective overall administration practices, present information and respond to questions from supervisors, staff and the general public.
Terms
Full time position, 37.5 per week
Current Police Records Check required (within 6 months)
Valid driver’s license required
Salary range: $16.42 – $17.07
