Remuneration: $47,500-72,499, commensurate with qualifications and benefits
POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will help support the Financials team in its mission to provide a high level of product quality to its clients, through the development of responsible investment and sustainability related products.
Establish yourself as an ESG expert and industry lead for Financial Service companies;
Analyze the ESG performance of high-profile companies to be published in the Sustainalytics Platform;
Ensure quality of research utilizing industry-specific knowledge and expertise;
Oversee the internal capacity building program, mentor and train junior industry team members;
Manage small team of local analysts;
Coordinate industry level quality assurance program;
Participate in database framework development and research innovation for industry team;
Participate in client specific projects;
Respond to industry or company-specific inquiries from investors;
Build and maintain strong relations with companies, external networks and content specialists;
Contribute to the development of intellectual capital and thought leadership through report-writing and public-facing activities; and
Travel 5-10%.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master degree in related discipline (business, finance, economics and/or environment);
5-7 years work experience in a related field;
Solid knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry (banking, diversified financial services, real estate and or insurance) and the SRI/RI market;
Demonstrated passion for sustainability;
Strong research and analytical skills;
Resourceful and independent;
Client focused;
Experience writing independent thought leadership pieces; and
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistics skills.
