Oceans Ltd. is a 100 percent Atlantic Canadian Company, with its head office in St. John’s, NL and an additional office in Halifax, NS.  Oceans Limited is a multi-disciplinary environmental company specializing in weather forecasting, research and modeling, climatology, wind and wave extreme value analysis, physical oceanography, environmental effects bio-monitoring, iceberg profiling, and scientific software development.  The company maintains offices in St. John’s, NL and Halifax, NS.

Administrative Assistant
St. John’s Office

OCEANS Ltd. has an immediate requirement for an Administrative Assistant.  The successful candidate should be highly organized and have the ability to coordinate information and manage multiple tasks.

 Key Responsibilities:

Proposal and report preparation.
Maintain records and initiating follow-up activities, as required.
Manage itineraries – including meetings and travel arrangements.
Manage day-to-day administrative activities of the office.
Coordinate and manage events and meetings as required.
Creation of business correspondence.
Data entry of financial information, including accounts receivables and payables

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:

Excellent Writing Skills.
Post-secondary education in Office/Business Administration and Basic Accounting combined with at least three years experience in report production.
Exceptional technical skills, specifically using Microsoft Office.
Consistently maintaining confidentiality, judgment, tact and diplomacy.
Superb organizational skills and prioritization abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to aid in responding to a multitude of inquiries and directing them accordingly.
