Job Description

We are currently looking for a full time administrative/ accounting assistant for our Halifax location.  This is a permanent position.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Reviewing travel expenses reports and preparing accounting travel expenses summary
Handling complete cycle of A/P
Monthly reconciliation of A/P and Prepaid
Credit cards monthly statement reconciliation
Quarterly filing of GST & QST
Miscellaneous administrative tasks to support the Halifax team and the office in general
Responsible for office supplies order
Ad hoc projects

Desired Skills and Experience:

College degree (DEP) with a focus on accounting
Minimum 2-3 years of experience (particularly handling A/P)
High level of proficiency with Excel
Familiarity with Travel expenses (Concur) and multiple foreign currencies would be an asset
Knowledge of QuickBooks or other similar accounting software
Familiarity, confidence and accuracy when using other IT tools
