Currently we are hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk.
Core Job Functions:
Ensure the collection of outstanding receivable balances meeting company set guidelines
Reconciling and posting cash receipts to receivables within a high transactional volume based environment
Supporting requests for information regarding receivables and collections
Documentation of regular follow-up communication including details on account collection status
Ensuring collections on accounts are under current contract terms and conditions, highlighting deviations for appropriate management follow up
Completing weekly / monthly reporting (internal and external) as required
Notify debtors of overdue payments and accounts by telephone and e-mail communication as appropriate
Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries
Working closely with billing and receivable team members to resolve unapplied payments and other issues with customer accounts (i.e. billing errors)
Interact effectively with team managers for resolution of discrepancies on billing/settlement information
Maintenance of file storage in accordance to company policies
Other duties as required
Job Requirements:
Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience
Transportation industry experience considered an asset
Advanced capabilities with MS Office, including: MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Excellent organization and time- management skills
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
High-level of attention to detail
Ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Critical thinking and analytical skills required
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
