Accounts Payable Associate – Accountant Staffing – Halifax City

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate for their location in Halifax. This is an ongoing contract opportunity.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, and as a key part of the accounting team, your primary duties will include:

• Managing specific vendor accounts
• Receiving, verifying and coding invoices
• Entering invoices
• Assisting with cheque run
• Discussing payment arrangements with vendors
• Vendor account reconciliations
• Accounting administration
• Other projects as assigned

As the ideal candidate you combine minimum 3-5 years’ experience in full cycle accounts payable processing with post-secondary education at the college or university level in business or equivalent experience in AP.

As a quick learner with above average interpersonal skills, you are a professional individual who enjoys working in a team oriented environment. Demonstrating strong organizational skills, you are motivated and possess an above average attention to detail.
