Accounting Services Coordinator – 15-114A

Commencing immediately, we require a full-time Accounting  Services Coordinator in our Finance department located in Langley, BC.  The primary function is to provide analysis and accounting support for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation and cash management areas.  Additional duties include systems testing and training. This is a temporary position (until July 31, 2016); however, there is a future possibility of extension or permanent status.

Minimum requirements include completion of two years of an accounting program at an accredited post-secondary institute and a minimum five years  related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated working knowledge of integrated accounting systems; proficient  knowledge of spreadsheet software; and a demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively in English both verbally and in writing.  The candidate must also have demonstrated ability to exercise judgment to work and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the post-secondary sector.  This is a unionized position with BCGEU, and includes a comprehensive benefit package.  The salary range is $46,264 – $51,706.
