Accounting / Office Manager – Luckett Vineyards – Wolfville, Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia

We are currently recruiting for the position of Accounting/ Office Manager at our beautiful location in the Gaspereau Valley. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work directly with Pete Luckett on all accounting & office processes throughout the Vineyard. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Duties Include:

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payables
Bank, Supplier, Customer and general ledger account reconciliations
Preparing monthly financial statements, budgets and cashflows
Creating, reviewing and analyzing reports
Human Resource functions including payroll, benefits, recruitment, staffing & employee relations
Creating relationships with various government agencies and key stakeholders
Balancing daily sales with frontend reports and credit card settlement and completing daily bank deposits
Preparing and submitting government payroll deductions, WCB, HST and other required reporting.
Responsible for accurate and efficient inventory counts & reports

Qualifications:

3-5 years experience in Accounting with a proven understanding of the full accounting cycle
Post secondary education in Accounting required
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office (Excel) and proficiency in Sage Accounting
Excellent communication skills
Detailed, tenacious and strong ability for accuracy while working efficiently
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Highly organized, ability to prioritize and multi-task successfully to achieve deadlines
High level of personal accountability and willingness to take ownership and challenge processes
The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
Maintain strict confidentiality
