Due to continued growth, Thompsons Ltd. has partnered with Prime Management Group Inc. in their search for an Accounting Manager.
The Accounting Manager position is a newly created role and will be responsible for the daily and monthly coordination and monitoring of the accounting and reporting functions. This position will oversee the finance team while ensuring financial information and processes are in compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for understanding the business and the effects on P&L, ensuring all controls are documented properly, as well as mitigating any financial risk related to financial information. The successful candidate will communicate and coordinate with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer regarding accurate gross profit, expense, and volume reporting including expected, actual and future results. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for reviewing all financial information and providing explanation to management.
The Successful candidate will have strong leadership and mentoring skills with a high level of attention to detail. A highly organized individual with clear and concise communication skills is required for this position.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in an Accounting Management position
Degree in Accounting or Business field
Professional accounting designation (CGA/CA/CMA/CPA)
Proven track record leading, supervising, and mentoring financial teams
