The Accounting Clerk provides clerical support to the accounting, sales, service and purchasing departments with day-to-day transactions in Accounts Receivable, Payable and Inventory Control. This may include any or all of the following:
Prepare and submit customer invoices
Code, post and receipt payments
Prepare and coordinate deposit activities
Monitor customer accounts for nonpayment or delays
Update and maintain inventory levels with creation of reports, postings and adjustments
Perform filing and general administrative tasks
Liaise with other departments/customers/suppliers
Perform back up duties for the Receptionist/Billing Clerk
Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
Preference given to those with a certificate or degree in Business/Accounting
Professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a high level of communication (written and oral) to deal effectively with staff at all levels, suppliers and customers
Superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task with an eye for details
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computer applications including Excel
Ability to operate general office equipment
Customer service experience as well as previous experience handling of cash and credit cards an asset
French language skills an asset
Position available immediately
Hours: Monday to Friday (Full-time: 8 am to 5pm)
