Accounting Clerk – City of Langford – Victoria, BC

The duties assigned to this multifaceted position include handling public and telephone inquiries relative to Municipal operations; cash receipts and property taxes; preparation of correspondence and reports; scanning and filing; cash-up and bank deposit; commercial decals; on-line home owner grants; weekly maintenance of ownership and address changes for property tax and weekly maintenance of mortgage holders updates.  Applicants for this position should possess previous office experience, preferably within a municipal setting.

Proficiency with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office are required.  Knowledge of Great Plains Software and Cityview are an asset.  Preference will be given to those with previous property tax experience and accounting background.

The salary range for this full time position is $25.10 – 27.43 per hour plus an excellent benefits package.
