In this Clerk 6 position, the incumbent will perform duties within general & operational accounting, with the primary area of responsibilities being Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). This position assumes a leadership role within the AP & AR team, and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations; investigating and assisting other accounting staff to resolve issues as they arise, and building and maintaining positive business relationships with internal and external customers.
This is a NSGEU Local 470E Bargaining unit position.
As a qualified candidate, you will have:
Completion of Grade 12 plus a degree or diploma in Accounting
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting functions
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
As an ideal candidate you will also have:
Experience working in an SAP environment
Experience working in a retail organization
We are looking for an individual who has a sound working knowledge of general accounting, who demonstrates effective interpersonal and customer relationship skills, and has the proven ability to maintain a high degree of speed and accuracy, while processing a high volume of transactions.
