Our client, a successful and home-grown success story with locations throughout Canada has an immediate need for an Accountant to be based in Halifax. The purpose of this role is to provide a range off accounting services such as managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, conducting account reconciliation, closing month end and year end, assisting with reporting, and day to day accounting responsibilities. Reporting to the Controller, you will by relied on to be proactive and diligent in helping the organization achieve their goals.

To be considered for the accountant role, you should have a post-secondary education in accounting with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. You should have a solid understanding of AP/AR, month end, and account reconciliation.  Working on completing an accounting designation will be considered an asset.  You must be curious, proactive, confident, and committed to continuous improvement; both for yourself and your organization.  This role’s compensation will depend on the experience but the range is between $30,000 and $40,000.
