Integrated Staffing is pleased to partner with our client to recruit an Accountant based in the Halifax region.
Providing support for corporate and small business clients in the following areas:
General accounting, financial reporting, and taxation services;
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements;
Accounts payable management including preparing cheques for client review;
Reconcile monthly bank statements for client review;
Process payroll and source deduction remittances;
Research and advise clients on tax issues;
Financial planning and for clients in coordination with accounting team;
Year end preparation;
Prospect new business through a variety of methods and networking opportunities;
Develop and maintain strong client relationships;
Manage client follow-up activity to ensure service levels are met and exceeded.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Have worked in a similar role for 5+ years;
Applied understanding of Canadian tax rules;
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel;
Experience working with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) Software;
Entrepreneurial attitude;
Have demonstrated success working under minimal supervision;
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills;
Demonstrate versatility and a willingness to take on new tasks and projects as the business needs dictate;
Be dedicated, persistent, innovative, flexible, and driven to succeed;
