Backoffice724 Solutions is a dynamic company providing innovative virtual bookkeeping, accounting and financial management services to a number of local businesses and start-ups. We are currently recruiting for full time and part time Accountant/Bookkeepers. These positions will have a flexible work schedule and the ability to work remotely as well as on customer premises. Roles & Responsibilities:
Post A/P invoices and process payment runs
Process payroll, government remittances, and Record of Employments
Process HST returns and remittances
Create Customer Invoices and Statements; follow up on invoice payment status
Account Reconciliations including Bank accounts
Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements preparation
Participate as part of a team to define innovative new processes and systems
Other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Successful completion or in the final stages of a post-secondary program with a concentration in accounting.
Experience working in an office environment performing bookkeeping functions
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
High attention to detail & accurate recording of transactions
A self-starter with an ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision; both independently and within a team environment.
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills,
Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks or Simply Accounting (Sage 50)
Preference to candidates who have understanding of other systems such as ADP Payroll, Telepay, Microsoft Access, Sharepoint, and an interest in learning new systems or tools
