This position will report to the General Manager Service Sales – Vancouver, Canada
Primary Responsibilities:
Net sales & margins for assigned customers
Selling & marketing of Wärtsilä products & services
Maintain, improve & develop a portfolio of customers on a basis of profitability
Updating customer database while managing risk & liabilities for assigned customers
Preparation of action plans for individual accounts vis-à-vis sales budget
Liaise internally with various departments at WCA, Sales Account Managers from outside the company and PC support personnel
To develop & maintain direct customer contact through the sale of designated Wärtsilä Service Products
Development Responsibilities:
Locate & encourage new customer accounts
Identify & propose new products & services based upon customer requirements
Develop sales & methods of selling for spare parts & service with Wärtsilä Customers in Canada
Candidate Profile
University/Bachelor (preferable in Marine or Mechanical Engineering) & 3 years within Wärtsilä or similar industry or the equivalent combination of education & experience with 5+ years of proven success in Sales of industrial equipment or technology.
Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication, organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
Strong negotiating, strategic planning and computer skills using MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Excellent customer service skills; skilled at building and maintaining long term customer relationships.
Knowledge of Wärtsilä products & services, sales techniques and marketing knowledge.
High level of initiative, “can do” attitude, strong team leadership, ability to manage by objectives,
