The Account Manager is responsible for acquiring, expanding and maintaining key accounts in their territory. This role involves maintaining responsibility for the RTI account and all of their needs along with maintaining DMI accounts and increasing company revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers. To this end, the Account Manager assists in the implementation and manages any major accounts through quoting, evaluating programs within the account, providing savings for customers, fine tuning account specific programs, working hand in hand with suppliers to deliver account requirements and providing positive responses to customer expectations. This role is also responsible for the replenishment of our vending accounts in their area.
Accountabilities:
• Serve as a primary-point-of-contact for key accounts; execute services for clients, such as quoting, testing, implementation, training and ongoing sales and support.
• Document cost savings for all aspects: pricing, cost avoidance, productivity gain and product substitution.
• Analyze account activities and needs to provide the greatest savings to customers.
• Assist in the implementation and management of any major accounts.
• Collaborate with customer contacts in order to define needs and provide solutions.
• Identify and target new business sales opportunities and possible items.
• Fine tune specific account programs to meet customer needs and resolve any current program issues.
• Provide input and assist in development of proposals/presentations.
• Create and conduct sales presentations that highlight key benefits and value the products and services.
• Manage client expectations throughout the contract.
• Collaborate with suppliers to deliver customer needs and inventory to accounts.
• Pursue contract renewals.
• Ensure overall client satisfaction.
• Promote awareness of new products and services to key accounts.
• Assist departments to provide on-time projects to customers.
• Organize and pack van with inventory for deliveries.
• Deliver inventory directly to customer.
• Re-stock vending, open bins and RSS.
• Manually fill in burn stock.
• Update machine database including adding any new customer employees, pictures or descriptions.
• Provide training to customers.
• Repair any machines as needed.
• Clean and maintain all machines at account location.
• Handle any mis-vends by discarding or reversing transaction.
• Take orders if needed.
• Travel to customer locations.
• Review and adjust min/max levels in auto crib as per customer requirements.
• Report any discrepancies during delivery.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
• Valid Driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of High School Diploma (University Degree or College Diploma preferred).
• Good written communication skills.
• Machining experience or knowledge of cutting tools required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Able to bend, pull, lift, and stand throughout the duration of scheduled shift.
60% of the time will be nurturing and growing the list of accounts they are given to manage. Some of this will be done by telephone but the successful candidate can expect to be on the road (day trips) 40% of the time.
The other 40% of the time the successful candidate will be managing orders, shipping and receiving, pick, pack and ship the orders. They will reach out to their accounts if items are backordered. Max weight to be lifted is 50 pounds but this is a regular thing.
