About the job
LED Roadway Lighting Limited is seeking an Inside Sales – Account Manager to manage aspects of the inside sales department and lead generation process, assist staff to expand existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas. The selected individual would work out of our Halifax, Nova Scotia location.
Responsibilities:
Build and develop strong, functional relationships with key accounts in Government, Utilities, large Commercial/Industrial accounts, and company product representatives.
Manage all deliverables (i.e. lighting layouts, lifecycle/environmental reports, etc.) to ensure client expectations and project requirements are met.
Prepare lighting layouts as per client specifications.
Prepare RFP’s and bids for tenders.
Ensure that client needs are dealt with in an efficient manner, and inform the Sales & Rep Managers of any problems that may arise.
Works closely with inside sales and technical team to maintain/build project status.
Develop and maintain a detailed list of leads and customer opportunities using tools in Microsoft CRM and SharePoint.
Ongoing pursuit of account growth and new business opportunities in the underlying territory.
Understanding of company capabilities, and effectively communicate all offerings to the client.
Report to the Sales Manager – provide regular input on account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
Work within a team environment to develop relationships and build business opportunities.
Attend trade shows and other industry events as needed.
Travel is required.
Requirements:
Required:
4+ years of experience in Technical Sales and/or Account/Client Management.
Account Management skills in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships.
Key Skills: motivated, goal oriented, skilled negotiator, detail oriented.
Energetic team player with a high degree of initiative and innovation, able to work independently with minimal supervision, while handling multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred:
University Degree in Commerce/Business.
Ability to learn and communicate complex technical topics to clients and customers.
Considered an asset:
Experience with Microsoft CRM and SharePoint tools, or equivalent Customer. Relationship Management software programs. General technical competence with information technology.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and lighting layout programs such as AGI32 or Dialux.
Knowledge in the lighting industry and experience with lighting layouts.
