Reporting to the Publisher, the position involves being responsible and accountable for the achievement of established sales objectives. This is done by providing clients with thoughtful and creative marketing solutions utilizing print and digital magazine advertising, live event sponsorship and web based products such as advertising and branded content.
The candidate must be a positive representative of the company, be an active networker and relationship builder and be organized and able to manage their time effectively.
Responsibilities:
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives
Prospect through referrals, networking and cold calling
Arrange meetings with senior decision makers and carry out effective needs assessment
Develop solutions and present back to clients
Close deals on first time specialty opportunities or long term programs
Strong follow up with clients and effective use of deep product knowledge
Participate in sales meetings, brainstorming sessions, training program, keep the Customer Relationship Management program updated daily.
Qualifications:
Post secondary education
2 – 3 years of sales experience
Established contacts in the local business community
Customer service oriented
Proven closer
Creative, thoughtful and innovative
Strong team player
Adaptable to rapidly evolving market conditions
Be able to manage your book of business as if it were your own
Able to quickly get up to speed on Progress Media product knowledge.
